WIlliam T. Engelking

William T. Engelking (Bill) of Waukesha died on Thursday, July 16, 2026 in his home at the age of 87. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 10, 1938, the son of Harvey and Olive (nee Zastrow) Engelking. He was a 1957 graduate of Whitefish Bay High School where he was involved in the choir and rifle marksmanship. Bill’s post-graduate schooling was done at MATC, where he earned an associate's degree in Refrigeration Technology. He began his career at Ulness Refrigeration as a refrigeration technician and later worked for C & L, Real Refrigeration, and ended his career at Desert Aire as a service manager. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1960, where he was a machinist and was honorably discharged.

He will be sadly missed by his children, William (Dawn) Engelking of Muskego, Brett (Elizabeth) Engelking of Genesee and Brian (Keri) Engelking of Delafield. He was the proud grandfather of Kristin Engelking, Erik Engelking, Emily (Lucas) Winchowky, Logan (Mia) Engelking, Jacob Engelking, Benjamin Engelking and Madelyn Engelking. In addition, he was thrilled to be a great-grandfather to Jameson Winchowky, Penelope Winchowky, and Joseph Engelking. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Bonnie J. Engelking (nee Behrend), and brother Harvey Engelking.

Bill (Pops) was devoted to his family and enjoyed their many camping trips throughout the United States. He had a love for the outdoors and always looked forward to various hunting and fishing trips, as well as clay shooting and archery activities. Horicon Marsh held a special place in his heart with lots of memories and stories. Throughout his life, he always enjoyed helping friends and family with projects and repairs. His children and grandchildren benefited from his knowledge and expertise in fixing appliances and vehicles. Bill was always willing to help take care of pets and babysit grandchildren. He had a quick sense of humor and a big personality. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 with a visitation from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m., and a service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S.
