William Byron Butchart

William "Bill" Byron Butchart died of cancer on Tuesday, May 14, 2008 at the age of 58. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on April 19, 1950 to Gordon "Butch" Butchart and Janice "Wren" McFarlane. He worked as an upholsterer with his parents at Butchart's Upholstery, inheriting the business after his mother's retirement. Bill will be remembered for his laughter, his purple house, and his ability to restore antiques to perfection. Bill was a great big brother, a great father and uncle, and a loyal friend. One of his greatest achievements was 25 years of sobriety. One of his greatest joys was his daughter. Bill will always live in our memories and hearts. Bill touched the lives of all remaining behind, including his daughter, Michelle (Chris) Roux, brother, Jim (Leslie Fitzwater) Butchart, sisters: Jan Butchart, Kathy (Jim Chessman) Butchart, and Carol (Paul Moran) Butchart; granddaughters: Elise and Alaina Roux; nephews: Andy, Nathan, Sam and Evan Butchart and Owen Moran; niece, Iris Moran; best friend, Sue Exner Ruf; and numerous cousins and other relatives. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. A time for sharing will be held at 7:00 PM the funeral home.
