Thomas “Tom” R. Sindorf of New Berlin passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at AngelsGrace Hospice on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at age 93. He was born in Milwaukee on March 20, 1933 the son of Raymond and Adele (nee Harnack) Sindorf. On April 12, 1952 he married his beloved wife of 69 years, Janet (Currie) Sindorf; she preceded him in death on February 11, 2021. Tom loved to work in his yard, especially his flower and vegetable gardens. He cherished spending time with his family, most of all the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. But his greatest joy in life came from knowing Jesus.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Tom (the late Pam) Sindorf, Lynn (Steve) Saari, Leslie Sindorf and Karen (Vern) Whitney; his eight grandchildren, Jamie (Jon) Halquist, Kelly (Ken) Seelow, Christie Saari, Caitlin (Stuart) Willicombe, Emma (Ross) Hubanks, Stacey (Justin) Kobus, Taylor (Brittany) Whitney and Jesse (Hannah) Sindorf; 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild on the way. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Janet and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jane (Andy) Ulrich and brother Fred (Nancy) Sindorf.
As no memorial was held for Janet in 2021, a memorial service in celebration of Tom and Janet Sindorf’s lives will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 5:00PM at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Following the service, a time to gather and greet the family with food and fellowship will take place in the church café. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to AngelsGrace Hospice who provided dignified care in Tom’s final days.
