Thomas E. Ellis, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2025 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. He was born in Waukesha on August 2, 1950, the son of Lloyd and Doris (nee Ellis) Ellis. In 1986, Tom married the former Carol Wassberg. He attended UW-Madison where he received his degree in Astronomy and Meteorology and then received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. He had worked for NASA and then at Midwest Engineered Systems, until his retirement. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force before transferring into the Air National Guard. He was a longtime member of D.J. Martin American Legion Post 8 where he served as Past Commander, was on the Honor Guard carrying the American Flag during parades, Finance Officer for many years and received multiple awards for Legionnaire of the Year. He was an avid reader, loved nature and walking. Tom had a brilliant mind, teaching himself Hebrew and Greek. He was loved and respected by his family, colleagues and friends and was considerate of people and their point of view. He was deeply committed to his God, Country and Faith.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Carol, along with his brother Jerome (Sandra) Ellis, sister Christine Weirich, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David, sisters Nancy and Jeanne and niece Crystal.

Graveside services with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
