Theresa K. Albrecht

Passed away in Elm Grove on April 25, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born February 22, 1927, in Freemont, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Lucy (nee Hertel) Ewald. On September 3, 1949, she married Herman Albrecht in Mundelein, Illinois.  He preceded her in death in 2010. Before coming to Waukesha in 2003, the couple lived in Racine where Theresa worked as special events and volunteer coordinator at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital.  She was a member of St. William Catholic Church where she enjoyed daily Mass and many senior activities especially the crocheting club, making many blankets for babies and shawls for the elderly.

She is survived by his children, Gordon (the late Christine) Albrecht of Houston Texas, Jeff (Mary) Albrecht of Waukesha, Pam (Steve) Syring of Elm Grove, and Sandra (Ken) Wodek of Milton, WI, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Greg Albrecht, her brother Joseph Ewald, sister Marie Kelroy, and daughter-in-law Christine Albrecht. 

Visitation will be Tuesday April 30, 2024, from 10:00 am until the funeral Mass begins at 11:00 am at St. William Catholic Church, 440 North Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha.  Burial will take place on Wednesday May 1, 2024, at Calvary Cemetery in Racine.
