Tamara Lynn Wiberg (née Shields), age 61, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2026. She was born on June 5, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin.
Tamara was the heart and soul of her family. She devoted her life to raising her children and creating a home where everyone felt loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her greatest joy came from having her family together. With her quick wit and outgoing spirit, Tamara could strike up a conversation with anyone and left a lasting impression wherever she went. Everything she said and did was guided by genuine sincerity.
Tamara lived her faith daily by placing the needs of others before her own. She never hesitated to help someone in need and cared for others in practical, meaningful ways—through a homemade meal, a haircut, or simply by showing up when she was needed most. She shared a close and loving bond with each of her three children and her ten grandchildren, delighting in her role as a playful and devoted grandmother.
Tamara is survived by her husband, Steve Wiberg; her children, Steven (Abby) Wiberg, Haley (Mike) Sweeney, and Madison (Rob) Hartmann; and her ten grandchildren, Brooklyn, Gwenyth, Henry, Lydia, Aubrey, Chelsea, Frederik, Hadley, Lucy, and Siena. She is also survived by her brothers, Van (Liz) Shields and Dave (Sue) Shields, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Her passing is a profound loss to her family and to the many people whose lives she touched through her love and generosity. She will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha on Thursday, January 22, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. A private interment at St. George Cemetery in Kenosha will follow.
