Ruth E. Strutz, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong believer in Jesus Christ, died on June 13, 2026, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Born on September 6, 1954, in Milwaukee, she the daughter of Walter and Louise Stibor. Ruth lived a life rich with faith, family, and a love for learning and creativity.
Ruth’s enduring faith in Jesus her Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She firmly believed in His word and attended RiverGlen Christian Church.
A woman of many interests, Ruth cherished the beauty of the world and found great joy in gardening, caring for her plants, and foraging mushrooms. Her creative spirit was seen through arts, crafts, and painting. An avid reader and lifelong learner, she constantly sought knowledge and new experiences throughout her life.
Family was her pride and joy and she recently would have shared her 50th wedding anniversary with her husband Gordon whom she married on August 7, 1976.
She is loved and will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Gordon, and their four children who continue to honor her memory: Daniel (Susanna) Strutz, Andrew Strutz, Elizabeth Strutz, and Christopher (fiancée Ashley) Strutz. Ruth's legacy of love extends to her cherished grandchildren; Liberty, Gabriel, Malachi, Judah, and Elynnore. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Suder. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ruth’s proudest accomplishments were rooted in her unwavering faith and her dedication to her family. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly, always placing their needs and happiness at the forefront of her life’s mission. She will be remembered for her faith, artistic spirit, love for nature and her commitment to her family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. at RiverGlen Christian Church, located at S31 W30601 Sunset Dr, Waukesha, WI 53189. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages plants or perennials in honor of Ruth.
