Ruth "Ranne" Dwyer

Waukesha-Ruth Ann "Ranne" Dwyer, age 80 of Waukesha, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at her Avalon Square home. She was born on March 15, 1927 to Clifford and Ethelbelle (Farnam) Thomas. On August 26, 1947 she married Edwin Dwyer in LaCrosse. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2002. Ranne taught at Catholic Memorial from 1965-1968 and then at Waukesha South from 1968 until her retirement in 1982. She was a big supporter of high school sports, especially the track team that her husband coached. Mrs. Dwyer was a volunteer at the Victims Abuse Assistance Program and taught Bridge for the Waukesha Park and Recreation. She was a loving mother to Ed (Crystal) Dwyer of Escanaba, MI; Tom Dwyer of Rockaway, NJ; Mary (Steve) Haumschild of Waukesha and Ann (Ken) Lech of Spring Grove, IL; grandmother to Eddie Dwyer of Detroit, MI, Lyn Dwyer and Cathy Dwyer both of Stevens Point, Kelley (Robert) Grorud of Janesville, John Dwyer of Greensboro, NC, Mike Dwyer of New York, NY, Dan Haumschild of Buffalo, NY, Liz Haumschild of Waukesha, Justin Lech of Decatur, IL and Bridget Lech of Spring Grove, IL. Fond sister of Barb (Lee) Johnson of Waukesha, Bruce (Evie) Thomas of Arizona and Betty (John) Krismer of Texas. Other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation for Ranne will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 12:00 Noon until the 2:00 P.M. Memorial Service at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue. A private family burial will take place at a later date. A fund will be established in Ranne's name with any memorials received.
