Russell E Brock

September 24, 1952 — March 28, 2024

Waukesha

Russell “Russ” Brock, age 71, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.  He was born in Milwaukee to James K. Brock and Jean Hazel Schefft on September 24, 1952.

Russ, the youngest of three boys grew up on Springdale Road in Waukesha, Wisconsin, marrying the love of his life, Michele Brock, in January of 1974.  After having two sons Russ moved his family to California in 1982 working with his brother, Dick Brock, selling prepress equipment to major companies such as Disney, Universal Studios, and Knotts Berry Farm.

In California, Russ and his family enjoyed spending the day at Huntington Beach as well as riding 4 wheelers at Glamis, Pismo Beach, and Imperial Sand Dunes with several other families from their area.  Russ also coached his sons’ baseball teams from T-Ball through their U-13 team.

In 1991, after welcoming his daughter Taylor Hofman into the world, Russ and his family returned to Waukesha.  There he started a new Electronic Imaging Division for London Litho, growing the organization from two branch offices to eight offices in 5 different states.   Utilizing industry contacts he developed in California, Russ was able to grow London Litho into a VAR 500 Company and a Graphic Arts leader in the Midwest reselling Fuji, Kodak, and AGFA equipment to area companies such as Quad Graphics.

Russ also loved to watch his daughter, Taylor Hofman, compete in sports for the Waukesha South Blackshirts, where he was able to watch her compete in the state championship game for South’s woman’s basketball team.

In his spare time, Russ could often be found engaging in friendly cribbage matches with family and friends on the back porch or enjoying the great outdoors.  His attention to detail and creativity for capturing special moments through photography allowed him to leave beautiful memories for his family.

Above all else, Russ cherished his family deeply, often sharing his sense of humor with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Michele Brock and their three children, Jason Brock (Kelly Tracy), Jeremy L. (Julie) Brock and Taylor (Joseph) Hofman.   He is the proud grandpa of Madison Brock, Tucker Brock, James Brock, Sophia Brock, Isabelle Brock, Charlie Hofman and Brock Hofman.  He is further survived by his two brothers, Robert (Betty) Brock and Richard (Soo) Brock, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Russ was preceded in death by his parents, his best friend Stephen LaDue and by his faithful companions Murphy, Chet and Auggie.
