Robert Schieble, age 90 of Waukesha, former longtime Pewaukee resident, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on April 6, 1917 in Milwaukee, the son of Adam and Anna (Weber) Schieble. Robert married Dorothy Ponik on October 12, 1938. Along with his brothers, Robert was the co-owner for Schieble's Meat Market on Oakland Ave. in Shorewood for many years. Later he was employed at Wood-Lam in Pewaukee as a carpenter until his retirement. Robert was past commodore of Pewaukee Yacht Club, and is in the Waukesha Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was an avid musky fisherman and hunter, and was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. Robert will be sadly missed by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy; 3 children: Robert J. (Sue) Schieble of Pewaukee, Susan (Walter) Tarmann of Oconomowoc, and Marleen Schieble of Waukesha; four grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, John Schieble of Pewaukee; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Walter Schieble. A private family Funeral Mass will be held, followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
