Richard “Richie” Lee Grencer of Waukesha passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the age of 74. He was born in Stevens Point, WI on February 10, 1949, the son of Albert and Margaret Grencer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Richie was a skilled welder and worked for Harnischfeger for 36 years. He enjoyed woodworking, carving, camping and taking adventures on his motorcycle with his wife Patti. Richie cherished the time he was with his children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his loving companion and wife Patti Menick; his children, Kari (Jason) Cole and Kelly Grencer; his “bonus children” Nate Menick and Abby (Cory) Husher; his grandchildren, Cris Cole and Leona Husher; his sister Lori (Mark) Markee; brother Bob (Jill) Grencer; and his beloved dog, Tot. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richie will also be lovingly remembered by his many incredible neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Christopher Grencer, his wife and mother to Kari and Kelly, Patricia Grencer, and his nephew Andrew Grencer.
A celebration of Richie’s life will be held in the Summer of 2024.
