Paul S. McKenzie

After a life defined by quiet strength, humor, and devotion to his family, Paul McKenzie, 87, took his final rest on March 12, 2026.

Paul married Phyllis and together for 64 years they built a home filled with laughter, a love of sports: golf, fishing, hunting, bowling, softball, and card games.

After graduation from Catholic Memorial High School, Paul was recruited by the St. Louis Cardinals and was their pitcher for two years.

After a Master’s Degree from the University of Whitewater, Paul taught for 32 years at Oak Creek High School where he was loved by his cohorts and students for his reliability, patience, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. He was the golf coach for two years and assisted the basketball coach.

Paul’s family is deeply grateful for the compassionate support provided by hospice and for the many friends and neighbors who offered comfort during this time.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his son Marc and his devoted daughter Kelli, who cared for him with extraordinary love in his final years. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Matthew.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 10:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Parish-St. Mary Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. Celebration of life to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to any charity of your choice.
