Waukesha native Norman J. Nimmer Jr. passed away Friday, June 6, 2025 at age 80. Born on September 3, 1944, the only child of Norman J. and Evelyn (nee Sanders) Nimmer Sr., he graduated from Catholic Memorial High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He worked for many years at Cooper Power/Eaton. Norm loved trains and often joined other train enthusiasts snapping pictures of as many as possible near his favorite Duplainville Road location. He was also an avid golfer. Norm will always be remembered for his gentle soul and kind spirit.
He is survived by his good friends Pattie Breines, Don Rettenmeier, Mel Gove, Sami and Leah Mueller, other friends and surviving cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Special thanks to Willie, Dominique and all those at Autumn Leaf Adult Group Home for their loving care and friendship.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
