It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Wayne Sussek, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend to many. Michael peacefully left this world on October 2, 2023, at the age of 70. Born on July 9, 1953, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, he was the second son of Donald and Margaret Sussek (Nee Manley).

He retired in early 2023 only after learning of his cancer diagnosis. Michael loved his job as an Engraver specializing in mold texturing.
Michael was a dedicated fan of “Lost in Space” from childhood until his death. He could quote every line of the series with Dr. Smith being his favorite character. Michael attended conventions, met the series actors, and acquired one of the most expansive collections of “Lost in Space” memorabilia.
A very creative man with an artist’s soul, Michael created many pieces are art that will be cherished and loved for generations to come. In his early years, he worked with sculpture and metal; later in life he refinished furniture and preserved his cherished favorite TV and family films.
Michael will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He was one of the most welcoming, nonjudgmental people on this earth and accepted you as you were.
Michael was predeceased by his parents; Donald and Margaret Sussek, sister-law; Tillie Sussek, great nephew; Noah Mroz, special friends; Todd Butler and Tom Petrula and his cherished 1980 Dodge Morada.
In place of sending flowers, Michael requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Although he didn’t serve, he was proud of their service and sacrifice.
The family would like to thank the volunteers and staff at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc for their loving care.
As Dr. Smith once said, “Now come along with me, you ludicrous lump, there’s much to be done.”
