Michael "Mike" W. Johnson

Michael W. “Mike” Johnson, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital at the age of 55. He was born on November 23, 1970 the son of Ronnie and Faye (nee Howard) Johnson. He was a 1989 graduate of Baldwin-Woodville High School and then attended Carroll University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. On September 1, 1999 he married Tina (nee Schmitz) Johnson in Waukesha. He had been a member of Fox River Christian Church. Mike will be remembered as a kind and caring man who was very intelligent and loved history. He was devoted to his wife and loved how she could make him smile and laugh.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Tina, his fur baby Cozy, sister Aurora Johnson, mother-in-law Elizabeth A. LaPaz, stepmother Nancy Johnson, brothers-in-law Timothy (Reba) Schmitz and Thomas Schmitz and sister-in-law Tammy Schmitz. He is further survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Theresa Schmitz and brother-in-law Ted Schmitz.

No formal services will be held. Memorials in Mike’s name are appreciated to the American Heart Association.
