Mary Lou Stein

Mary Lou (Martens) Stein, born March 28th, 1951 in Greenville, MI, completed her baptismal journey and was raised through Christ October the 28th, 2026 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Larry Dennis for 55 years, mother to Rebecca “Becky” Martens-Stein and Katherine “Katie”Johnson (husband Alex), grandmother of Althea & Amelia Johnson. Mary was the eldest sister of Tim (deceased), Sue, Barb, Patty and Jeannine, and daughter of Rev. Robert John and Pauline Marie (Winkleman) Martens. Mary proudly received her Bachelor’s in Education Summa Cum Laude from Alverno College and her Master’s in Education from Concordia University. Mary was a dedicated and passionate teacher, serving the entirety of her career at Marcy Elementary School Menomonee Falls.

The memorial & celebration of her life will be Saturday, Nov 7th at Zion Lutheran Church N48 W18700 W Lisbon Rd, in Menomonee Falls, WI. Visitation is from noon until 1:00 pm, and the funeral will be at 1:00 pm with reception following.
