Mary Lou Marose, age 87, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at AngelsGrace Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 22, 1937, the daughter of James and Josephine (nee Welch) Chase.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Waukesha High School, class of 1955, and went on to earn her degree from Carroll College in 1960. She furthered her education by obtaining a master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. On October 12, 1963, she married her beloved husband, Frank Marose, who preceded her in death on January 22, 2008.

A dedicated social worker, Mary Lou served many years at River Hills West in Pewaukee and Beverly Corporation, later establishing her own business focusing on advocacy for the elderly. She was a devoted and active member of First Baptist Church in Waukesha, contributing her time and talents to various committees throughout her years of service.

Mary Lou enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong and was enjoyed being involved in her investment club and the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO).

She will be deeply missed by her sons, David (Connie) Marose and Douglas (Jodi) Marose, both of Waukesha, along with her grandchildren, Emily, Hannah (Zach Jensen), and Maggie Marose. She is also survived by niece Jamie (Roger) Baumeister, nephews Paul (Kay) Marose, John (Sue) Marose and Roy Chase, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Chase Jr.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 12th, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, located at 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A second visitation will take place on Friday, June 13th, at First Baptist Church, 247 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186 from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 Noon funeral service. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to First Baptist Church, Waukesha, and Aging and Disability Resource Center of Waukesha County (ADRC), 514 Riverview Ave., Waukesha, WI 53188 which provides Alzheimer’s and dementia support to families.
