Marlene Maria Ortiz

Marlene M. Ortiz, 60, of Waukesha, died at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on February 27, 2023. She was born in Milwaukee on December 11, 1962, the daughter of Mario and Sheila (Nee: Nortunen) Ruiz-Ortiz. She was a 1980 graduate of Mukwonago High School. She had worked at Optum formerly known as United Health Care, and enjoyed her previous second jobs at Golden Gate Restaurant and Casa del Rio. On Saturday’s she looked forward to meeting with her friends for breakfast at Panera or McDonald's or the occasional happy hour at Golden Gate Restaurant. She also enjoyed her time outside gardening, listening to music, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and loved ones.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Lea (William) Nickolas of Laveen, Arizona and Mariah (Arturo Lemus) Vargas of Waukesha, her beloved grandchildren Avelynda Lemus, Arturo X. Lemus Jr., and Aria Lemus, her parents Mario and Sheila Ruiz-Ortiz, her sisters Tammy Ortiz of Greenfield, Wisconsin, and Robyn (Jim) Rice of Watertown, Wisconsin, brother Mario Ruiz-Ortiz Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her Nephew Frank Cardona.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday March 19, 2023 12:00-4:00pm at Wil-O-Way Underwood
