Margaret Mary Hansen (née Walker) passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Mukwonago ProHealth Hospital at the age of 86. She was born in Milwaukee on August 18, 1939 to parents John Walker and Frances (née Mikulsky) Walker. She was united in marriage to her late husband Eric Hansen on September 11, 1965. Margaret graduated from Messmer High School and went on to work as a Secretary where she met her amazing late husband, Eric.
Margaret had a passion for flower gardening and a talent for arranging flowers. She would push lady luck by playing the slot machines and scratch-off tickets although never won big. She was an avid reader most notably of murder mysteries and loved to do daily newspaper crossword and word search puzzles. Margaret loved to sing, especially when cooking and her signature dish was lasagna. She cherished Christmas and created many traditions with her family such as naming each Christmas tree and having McDonalds every Christmas eve under the tree. Her generosity knew no bounds and extended to all those around her. She embodied her strong faith in her daily life.
Margaret will be forever missed and adored by her children, Colleen (Mark) Prindes of Lincolnshire, IL, Kirstin (Will) Dolwick of Lake Mills, WI and Erika Hansen of West Allis, WI; grandchildren, Brennan, Kailey, Griffin, Colin, Marisa and Kierra; her twin sister Rose (the late Cliff) Wiberg, and siblings Jeannine (Bill) McKeown, and Phillip (the late Daphne) Walker; brothers-in-law, Alan (Florence) Hansen, Carl (Ilene) Hansen and David (Lynn) Hansen. She is further survived by her foreign exchange son, Sergio Utrilla Rodas and family, many other family members and friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Eric, son Mark, sisters Patricia Wilke, Barbara Keyes, parents, and her dear friend Sue Giaimo.
