Luke Cullen Zimmer of Wauwatosa passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026 at the age of 67. He was born in Milwaukee on November 3, 1958 the son of Lawrence J. and Anna R. (nee Weinberger) Zimmer. After earning his Bachelor of Biology degree from Marquette University, he worked for Right to Life. He discovered a passion for computers and worked for many years as a computer programmer. He was an active member of Christ King Parish where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Other interests included: reading science fiction, going to Art Museums, attending a variety of Summer Festivals especially Bastille Days. He often challenged himself by watching Julia Child and then recreated her dishes.
He will be sadly missed by his good friend, Judy Kosloske, his brothers and sisters, William Zimmer, Mary (Paul) Krueger, Diane (Dan) Zajicek, Dan (Stacy) Zimmer and Ralph (Shelly) Zimmer. He is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister-in-law, Cari Zimmer.
Visitation will take place on August 31, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at Christ King Parish, 2604 N. Swan Blvd Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53226. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Luke’s name are appreciated to Wisconsin Right to Life.
