Loretta E. Hecyk of Waukesha, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the age of 85 years. She was born in the Town of Franzen, WI on May 28, 1940, to Leo and Bridget (nee: Groshek) Cieslewicz. Loretta was a graduate of Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School. On December, 31, 1960 she married Daniel Hecyk at St. Joseph Church in Galloway, WI.
Loretta found great joy in reading, crocheting, completing puzzles and going to music in the park. She shared her love of cooking and baking for every family gathering. She appreciated the beauty that nature brought. Most days finding herself in the garden and taking care of her flowers.
Although Loretta was a woman of few words, she more than made up for it through her compassionate and loving actions. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She loved to hear about their accomplishments, struggles, or anything they cared to share with her. Listening without judgement and offering gentle guidance when needed and loving every moment with them. One of her greatest accomplishments was working alongside her daughter Pam on Project Linus. Each blanket and stitch, a quiet act of love, meant comfort to someone she may never meet. Loretta had a deep faith and was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 65 years, Daniel Hecyk and their three children, Jeffrey (Ann) Hecyk, Pamela (Troy) Storch, Jonathan (Laura) Hecyk; five dear grandchildren, Angela Hecyk, Amanda Hecyk, Tyler (Taylor) Storch, Tristan Hecyk and Layna Dent. She is further survived by her sisters, Rosemarie (the late Ken) Gustafson, Annette (the late John) Tallafuss and brother, David (Rose) Cieslewicz, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Daniel (Pat) Cieslewicz, Genevieve (Eugene) Goskowski, Conrad (Janet) Cieslewicz and Ruth Cieslewicz.
Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Corpus Christi Church-St. John Neumann Parish 2400 State Road 59 Waukesha, WI 53189 from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 funeral Mass. Private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
