Lee A. Wenger of Waukesha passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the age of 74 following a 29-year battle with Parkinson's and most recently heart disease. He was born in Milwaukee on November 27, 1948, the son of Leroy and Lorraine (Wilger) Wenger. On August 23, 1969 he married his loving and devoted wife Sharon (Kender). Lee served in the National Guard for 6 years and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from MSOE. He worked for Eastman Kodak for 35 years, retiring as a service manager. Lee was an avid fisherman and hunter and he always loved vacationing, especially in the northwoods. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, playing and watching sports, listening to oldies music and playing board games and cards; especially cribbage and sheepshead. Family was everything to Lee.
He will be sadly and forever missed by his beloved wife of almost 54 years, Sharon and their children, Nicole (Deron) Ledford, Jenny (Jay) Campbell, and Tyson (Katie) Wenger; his grandchildren, Tyler, Zach and Mason Ledford, Julianna and Joelle Campbell and Rylee and Lucas Wenger; and his five brothers, Larry (Kathy), John (Debbie), Bill (Pam), Jim (Barb) and Jack (Mona). He is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10:00 am until the 12:00 noon memorial service at Living Word Lutheran Church, 3140 Saylesville Road, Waukesha, WI 53189. Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
