Lawrence "Larry" Duranceau

BYRAM, MS—Lawrence “Larry” Duranceau of Byram, MS and former longtime resident of Waukesha, died January 3, 2009 at his son’s residence in Byram at the age of 78.  He was born on April 11, 1930 in Brokaw, WI, the son of Frank and Myrtle (nee:  See) Duranceau.  Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He retired from Wisconsin Bell after 37 years of service.   He was a very active member of the Church of the Nazarene.  He enjoyed deer hunting, playing the guitar and singing with his family.  He will be sadly missed by his children Sylvia (Richard) Schmidt of Shawano, Rev. Robert (Phyllis) Duranceau of Byram, MS and Diane Roberts of Green Bay.  He was the proud grandfather of Cody, Jennifer, Jeremy, Jonathon, Janel and Shane and great-grandfather of Austin, Korbin, Emma and Elizabeth.  He is further survived by his brother Gene (Charlene) Duranceau of Bowler, sister Belva (Edwin) Marshman of Watertown, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife Lenore “Lee” Duranceau in August 2008, son-in-law Donel Roberts and sisters Ione Dixon and Lois Schmidt.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
