Laura J. Karel

Laura J. Karel, of New Berlin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at her home at the age of 68. She was born in Milwaukee on June 24, 1958, the daughter of George J. and Margaret M. (nee Loomis) Karel. She was a lifelong resident of the cherished Loomis farm in New Berlin. Laura worked for the rights of animals and the rights of nature to be free from human-inflicted suffering and harm.

She is survived by her sister Juel Karel Hill of Missouri City, TX, numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother John S. Karel.
