Kerri L. Slotty

Kerri Lynn Slotty of Waukesha passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 67, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Milwaukee on April 10, 1958, the daughter of Herbert Preiss and Ella Mae (Lemay) Thorpe. On May 31, 1980, Kerri married her devoted husband, Paul, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Alaina and Lindsey. Kerri’s passion for helping others was evident throughout her 45-year career with the New Berlin School District, where she served as a special education teaching assistant, guiding and nurturing many students while developing meaningful relationships. Kerri enjoyed baking, reading, and playing her “word games” but above all, she treasured her family and found joy in her grandchildren.

Kerri is survived by her loving husband, Paul; her daughters, Alaina (Jayme) Wollenzien and Lindsey (Matt) Wagner; and her beloved grandchildren Morgan and Quinn Wagner and Noah and Harper Wollenzien. She is also remembered by her siblings, Sandy (the late Greg) Strapko, the late Randy and (Julie) Preiss, Tom (Pauline) Preiss, Scott (Mary Lou) Preiss, Jody (John) Brill, and Jeff Preiss, brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric (Jeananne) Slotty, Julie (Gary) Williams, the late Jon Slotty, KC Slotty, and Karen Slotty, alongside many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kerri was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and brother-in-law.

A celebration of Kerri’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31st at Westmoor Country Club, 400 S. Moorland Rd., Brookfield. The family will receive guests from 11:00am until 3:00pm.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
