Oconomowoc – Karen Agnes Kuhlman, aged 75, passed away September 30, 2023, after a long cancer battle. She was born June 12, 1948, in Janesville, Wisconsin. After her early childhood, she moved to Muskegon, Michigan before settling in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After graduating from Catholic Memorial High School, Karen pursued post studies in Art.
Karen was a gifted artist and provided lovely artwork in several mediums to family and friends. She worked in customer service at printing and graphics companies, retiring from Berry Plastics Corporation.
In her spare time, Karen was a highly accomplished horsewoman (she loved horses – a lot)! Karen was one of the founding members of the Wisconsin Dressage Association and passed on her talent and love of horses to her niece Francine. Karen was preceded in death by her many horses: Beaver, Dawn, Wyron, Finnegan and Hue. She will be deeply missed by her equine niece and nephew, Magie and Aimee. Karen loved all animals, but especially horses.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Lamar and Rosemary (nee Skelly) Kuhlman, sister Elizabeth (nee Kuhlman) Moore and brother-in-law Thomas Traeger.
Karen is survived by her sister Christine (nee Kuhlman) Traeger; nephew Andrew (Renee) Traeger; nieces Francine (Greg Joram) Traeger and Victoria Moore; grandniece Arwen Traeger; grandnephew A.J. Traeger and many extended family and friends.
Ride with the wind Karen and save me a place so we can continue the ride together.
We love you, Francine.
