Julie Ann Price (Wenten) was born on February 16, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Henry and Nancy Wenten. She was their first child and passed away at her home on October 10, 2026, after a long illness. If you knew Julie, you knew she was going to do things her way. She was strong-willed, independent, loving, kind, and caring, and she never hesitated to stand up for herself. She had her own way of doing things, and that was part of what made her uniquely Julie. Family was important to Julie. On June 2, 2001, she married the love of her life, Jim Price. Jim adored Julie, and Julie loved him with every fiber of her soul. Together, they enjoyed long motorcycle rides and making memories along the way. Jim loved her strength, her determination, and the fact that she was never afraid to speak her mind or stand up for herself. Julie found happiness in the little things. She loved searching for treasures, taking in the beauty of fall, visiting Door County, and going “bumming” with her mom, Nancy. Julie retired from the food service industry in 2025, but the connections she made throughout her years of working remained important to her. She stayed in touch with many of the people she met along the way, and those lasting relationships were something she was very proud of.
Julie leaves behind her loving husband, Jim; her mom, Nancy Wenten; her brothers, Chip(AnneMarie) Wenten and David (Juan) Wenten; her children, Sara Wenten(Ashley) and Andrew Moe (Megan); her stepson, Jason Price (Nicole); and her seven grandchildren, Lilah, Callah, and Etta Moe; Parker and Penelope Price; and Harlow and Porter Wenten. She also leaves behind her sassy dog, Sophie, and her cats, Benny and Wally. She was preceded in death by her dad, Henry Wenten, and her brother, Thomas Wenten.
Even toward the end, when things were difficult, Julie remained true to herself. In a moment that perfectly captured her spirit, she reminded Sara, “Don’t tell me what to do.” It was such a Julie thing to say; a final reminder that she was going to do things her way, right to the end. Those who knew and loved her will smile through their tears at thememory, because even in the most difficult moments, her unmistakable personality shone through.
