Judith "Judy" Westphal, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 while surrounded by family on Sunday, May 31 in Hudson, WI. Judy was born on August 9, 1936, in Waukesha, WI to Albert and Caroline Griswold. She grew up in Pewaukee with her brothers, Tom Griswold (Elaine), Larry Griswold, Peter Griswold (Dee Dee) and her sister, Susan Weisner (Ron).
Judy graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1954. She attended Alverno College and later worked at Moor Downs Resort in Waukesha. Years later Judy went on to work at Cooper Industries as an assistant in the engineering department and retired in 1998. Her values of hard work, faith and family remained with her throughout her life.
She married Glenn Westphal in 1958 and together they built a life centered on family, faith and generosity. Judy embraced life to the fullest. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She was the beloved mother of three children: Mary Westphal, John Westphal and Amy Cook (Peter). Her grandchildren, Matt (Lindsey), Olivia and Jonny, along with her great-grandchildren, Connor and Madison brought her immense pride and joy.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Westphal along with her mother and father Albert and Caroline Griswold.
Judy's love, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed by her family, dear friends and all whose lives she enriched. While her family and friends mourn her passing, they find comfort in the many wonderful memories she leaves behind and the legacy of love she created. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, N35W23360 Capital Dr. Pewaukee, WI. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. All are invited to a luncheon after mass. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha at 2:30PM. Please meet at the cemetery office/mausoleum.
