Judith E. Boldt (nee Kannenberg) “Judy” passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025 at the age of 81. She is survived by her three children Brian Boldt, Mindy (Aaron) Betry, and Karie (Neil) Derkowski, brother Dan Kannenberg, sister-in-law Diane Boldt, and nephews Tim (Arianne) Kannenberg and Mike (Jen) Kannenberg. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, whom she was so very proud of: Rainer, Owen, Nora, Avery, Liam, and Eloise.
Judy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing. Judy’s strong faith helped her through the death of her husband Donald Boldt from cancer when their kids were very young. She raised her children on her own, devoting her life to their success. She was able to eventually return to her profession as a registered nurse, working in home health care and at the Blood Center. She was keenly intelligent, had a sharp wit, and was kind and loving to all who knew her. She was also a talented artist, which shone through in the clothing she designed and sewed, and the hand painted greeting cards she made for everyone, always with a clever pun. Being a nurse, she fully understood the medical conditions she was dealing with in later years, and because of that lived each year as a gift. It was a blessing to know her, and we will dearly miss our conversations with her.
Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha on Friday, October 10 from 4:00-5:00 pm. Funeral Service and reception will follow. A private burial for the family will take place at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran or CureHHT.org
