Joan C. Hanseder

July 11, 1932 — November 25, 2015

Joan C. Hanseder, of Waukesha, died November 25, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 83. She was born in Milwaukee on July 11, 1932. She worked for the Wisconsin Gas Company and at JC Penny. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she participated in the Joy Circle.

Beloved mother of Debbie (Barry) Sayles, Dan (Renee) Hanseder, the late Cheri Shook (son-in-law Al Shook) and Patti Hanseder and their father, the late Richard Hanseder. Grandmother of Dawn (Zump) Urycki and Ashley Sayles. She is further survived by her brother Michael (Barbara) Haisler, her sister Virginia (the late Fred) Butler, sister-in-law Arleen Brumirski along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will take place Wednesday at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Cemetery (corner of Sunset Dr. and Snowdon Rd) in the town of Genesee. The family plans to hold a celebration of Joan’s life in the summer of 2016. Memorials are appreciated to the HAWS, 701 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI 53188.
