Jeffrey (Jeff) John Holland passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the age of 71. Jeff was born in Milwaukee on April 25,1954 to John “Dutch” and Doris Holland (Oehler). He spent his childhood in Wauwatosa and graduated from Wauwatosa East in 1972. He continued his education at Milwaukee Area Technical College. He spent most of his career working in the telecommunication industry, primarily for Wisconsin Bell Communications and Ameritech. His attention to detail, sense of humor and strong work ethic made him loved by all who worked with him. He had a knack for problem solving and persistence that was admired by his customers and coworkers.
From a very young age, Jeff had a love for all things mechanical and electrical. He also became a collector of railroad memorabilia.
Jeff was the family storyteller and jokester. He was never at a loss for words and always wanted to make you laugh. He was known for his boisterous laugh and quick wit. His family will miss all his antics and the smiles that he brought to their faces and hearts.
He was very thoughtful and was always one to send a card or flowers for Christmas, Easter, birthdays and anniversaries.
Jeff was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. He was so very loved by his brothers Craig Holland, John P. Holland, Chris Holland (Nicole) and Pat Holland (Pam) and his sisters Debbie Pruett and Linda Vick (Larry) He was blessed to have so many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John “Dutch” and Doris Holland; his maternal grandparents, Bruno and Freida Oehler; paternal grandparents, John H. and Lenore Holland, his brothers, Craig Holland and John P. Holland.
Visitation will take place at St Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church on Monday, November 10th beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the eulogy at 10:45 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Visitation, 1260 Church Street, Elm Grove. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 W. Nash Street, Milwaukee. There will not be a procession. Please meet at the cemetery office directly after Mass and use the Nash Street entrance.
The family would like to invite everyone to join them for lunch at O’Donoghue’s Pub, 13225 Watertown Plank Road, Elm Grove after the burial.
