James "Jim" H. Young Jr., of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 30, 1944, in West Mifflin, PA, Jim was the only child of James H. and Susan Young (née Tancreti).
A dedicated patriot, Jim served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he built a successful career as a CPA with Miller Brewing and, in retirement, enjoyed 25-years working at Pewaukee Golf Course.
Jim was very active in the Waukesha Old Car Club and a devoted member of St. William Catholic Church. Above all, he treasured time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his cherished wife, Donna (née Gaudino), their children, Stephanie (Kristopher) O’Dell, Susan Young, and James (Lauren) Young, and grandchildren, Jillian and Quinn O’Dell, and Thomas James "TJ" Young. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and will be deeply missed by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until eulogies at 12:15 p.m. at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53186. A funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m., with a celebration of his life continuing at Foxx View Lanes, 2440 W. Sunset Dr., Waukesha, WI 53189 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.. Private interment will be at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jim’s name can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or any veteran-related organization.
