James "Jim" P. Charles of Waukesha passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born in Waukesha on January 24, 1945, to Frank and Marie (Thompson) Charles. Jim proudly served his country with honor in the United States Army. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed traveling, exploring downtown Waukesha, and attending Friday Night Live events where he liked meeting new people. Jim had a passion for his Mazda Miata, loved old music, and cherished moments spent with his daughter and grandchildren.
He is sadly missed by his daughter, Lisa (Robert) Talbot of Auburn, CA; his grandchildren, Brycen Buttler and Brooklyn (Mason) Fehrenbacher; and great-granddaughter, Kyla. Jim is also survived by his sister, Fran (Ron) Lyon, his sister-in-law, Debbie Charles; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary (Paul) Olson and his brother, Robert Charles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A private burial with full military honors will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
