Guadalupe "Lupe" Hernandez

Guadalupe “Lupe” Hernandez, age 78, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She was born on February 18,1948 to Eusebio and Jovita (nee: Lugo) Garcia, Sr. Lupe embraced life with a joyful heart and found happiness in reading a good book, dancing, completing jigsaw puzzles, going to the movies, and going to Potawatomi Casino. Lupe was an exceptional cook, she found great joy in preparing meals, especially for those in need, and took every opportunity to serve others with generosity and compassion. Above all, she was a deeply selfless and loving woman. She devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. Her home and her heart were always open to anyone in need of comfort, guidance, or a helping hand. Her kindness, generosity and unwavering love touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be sadly missed by her son Paul (Lisa) Hernandez, Sr. and her daughter Yvonne Hernandez. She was the proud grandmother of Paul Edward Hernandez, Jr., Ashley Nicole (fiance` Garrett Hackbarth) Beller, Vanessa Renee Hernandez, Jacob Eusebio Maldonado, Arianna Marie Cyrus, Christopher Cicero Cyrus and the great-grandmother of Quinten Edward Hernandez, Naleah Nikita Hernandez, Penelope Mary Hernandez and Jalen Eusebio Maldonado. She is further survived by her sisters, Anna Cotton, Patricia Ann Hernendez and Theresa (Mike) Millious, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio and Jovita Garcia, Sr and her brother Eusebio Garcia, Jr.

Private family services will be held. Lupe will be laid to rest beside her parents and brother.

A heartfelt thank you to the caring nursing staff at Lake Country Health and Rehabilitation for the compassion and wonderful care they provided to Lupe and the entire family.
