Gerald K. Siverly “Skip” of Waukesha went home to the Lord on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 88. He was born on May 2, 1935 the son of Jesse and Nancy (nee Dampier) Siverly. On October 7, 1961 he married his beloved wife, Darlene (Klein) Siverly and together they raised their family in Waukesha. Skip worked for Unit Drop Forge Co. in West Allis for 45 years. He enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers, playing cribbage, collecting baseball caps, and a delicious scoop or two of ice cream. Along with his wife, they were longtime members of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha where Skip enjoyed attending Bible classes and being with his church family. He was able to talk with anyone, had a great memory and a quick-witted sense of humor until the end. Skip’s pride and joy was his family who he always cherished and he especially treasured when his family was all together.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Darlene and their children, LuAnn (Joel) Gaertner, Keith (Jane) Siverly, Kurt Siverly, and Dorene Rausch; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tyler) Tolonen, Philip (Beth) Gaertner, Katie (Nick) Majerus, Alyssa (Adam) Schwede, Leah Rausch and Levi Rausch and his three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ruby and Edward Gerald. He is further survived by his sisters, Carole and Karen, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave., Waukesha 53186. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Skip’s name are appreciated to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church.
