Esther R. Buchholz

Esther Ruth Buchholz (née Maring) lovingly reunited with her beloved husband, Duane Anthony Buchholz, on December 9, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, niece, and daughter, Esther’s life was marked by a deep commitment to family, compassion for others, and a love for creativity.

Esther was a dedicated Medical Technologist whose career touched many lives. Her passion for service extended beyond her profession—she played a key role in founding the St. Joseph’s Medical and Dental Clinic at St. Joseph’s Church in Waukesha, helping to provide care for those in need.

A gifted crafter and painter, Esther found joy in expressing her creativity and sharing her talents with others. Her wit, kind spirit, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents Johanna Maring (nee Stadfeld) and Evan Maring, Esther is survived by her daughters, Linda (Timothy) Jason and Lisa (Scott) VerHalen; granddaughters Nicholette Cotton, Jamie (Derek) Anderson, Danielle (Tyler) Leis; grandson Eric Jason; and great-granddaughters Lucianna Cotton and Olive Anderson.

Her legacy of love, generosity, and service will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
