Eric Kohnert, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on December 20, 1938, and passed away on September 18, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda.
Eric is survived by his children Eric (Suzanne), Dannelle, and Scott; his sisters Bobbi and Norma; and his grandchildren Adam (Liz) and Veronica, all of whom brought him endless pride and joy.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Eric went on to build a career with the Ironworkers, where his dedication, grit, and craftsmanship left a lasting mark. After retiring, he carried forward the values he held close: work hard, speak your truth, and stand by what you believe. Eric’s passions were many—he was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and NASCAR. Those who knew him will remember his spirited debates, his strong opinions, and his unwavering loyalty to those he cared about.
Though not always one to express his feelings easily, Eric made it a priority to make amends and find peace with those in his life before his passing. He worked hard and loved harder, and that love will continue to live on in the lives of his family and friends. Eric lived a full and meaningful life, and though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family wishes to thank all who supported Eric throughout his life and during his final days, and they are especially grateful for the love and kindness extended to them during this difficult time.
