Dr. Wayne H. Konetzki

Dr. Wayne H. Konetzki of Waukesha passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday June 1, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on August 2, 1936 to Harry and Leona (née: Hintz) Konetzki in Chicago, IL.

He attended Medical School at the University of Illinois and completed his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. While in medical school, he met and married Marjorie Renick on August 1st, 1959. He served his residency at Milwaukee County Hospital (now Froedtert Hospital). He then served his country in the medical corps in the US Airforce in Clovis NM from 1965-67. He practiced internal medicine with a specialty in Allergies in Waukesha, initially with Dr. Bartos and then in his own practice. Dr. Konetzki was a member of Waukesha County Medical Society and served on the board of Environmental Medicine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Marjorie (nee: Renick), son Robert Konetzki of Bloomington, MN, daughter Susan (Michael) Winkler of Cumberland, WI, grandson Collin Winkler of Waukesha, Madeleine (Tyler) Nadeau of Shakopee, MN and great-granddaughter Charlotte. He is further survived by his brother Alan Konetzki of Sheboygan, brother-in-law Don Tornow, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings Elaine Tornow and William Konetzki.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by a light lunch at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, located at 111 E Main St, Waukesha, WI 53186. He will be placed in the Columbarium at Church following the Mass.
