Donald A. Kind

September 14, 1941 — October 11, 2025

Waukesha

Donald A. “Mutzy” Kind of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born in Waukesha on September 14, 1941, the son of Walter and Bernice (nee Schwulst) Kind. He was a 1959 graduate of Waukesha High School and for 59 years was the loving husband of Frances (nee Burdick) Kind.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army, primarily in Thailand, and was employed by D.G. Beyer Construction for 25 years. An unfortunate accident left him a paraplegic. Prior to that, he loved hunting and fishing, particularly turkey hunting. After his accident, he became passionate about woodworking and was proud to have made many gifts for his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time at his brother’s cabin in Rhinelander and playing cribbage.

He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Fran, his daughter Christine Bova of East Troy, and his son Daniel Kind of Milwaukee. He is further survived by his sisters Sandy (Jim) Grundman of Rib Lake, and Susie McCormack of Waukesha, brother Bobby (Mary Lurvey) Kind of Waukesha, sister-in-law Joanne Kind of Waukesha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Kind, and sister Debbie Kind.

The family would like to give special thanks to their neighbors, the Hicks family, for all their love, support, and help over the years and to the many friends and visitors who dropped by just for a chat. Those visits meant the world to him.

Per his wishes no services will be held.
