David W. Cook

David Cook passed away on May 6, 2025, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, after a difficult battle with cancer. He was 62 years old, born on December 20, 1962 in Waukesha, WI to Terry and Carole Cook. David attended Waukesha School District until 1975 and then attended Kettle Moraine School District until his graduation in 1981.

David was kind and intelligent with a remarkable passion for music and history. He cherished conversations with his family, particularly when discussing his many favorite TV shows, movies, sports, and books. A lifelong lover of reading, David found joy and comfort in books of all kinds. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting baseball cards. His gentle nature extended to the many feline companions he welcomed into his life over the years. His most recent and dear friend, Dusty, will deeply miss him.

David will be profoundly missed by his brother, Christopher Cook (the late Jenny Cook); his niece, Jessica (Christopher) Bloom; his nephew, Jonathan (Roxanne) Cook; and his grandnephew, Theodore Bloom, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Terry and Carole Cook, his infant brother, Stewart Cook, and his dear sister-in-law and close friend, Jenny Cook.

A small celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, and reflecting David’s deep affection for animals, memorial donations in his name would be greatly appreciated to Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), 701 Northview Road, Waukesha, WI 53188.
