Darlene M. Gonzalez

Darlene M. Gonzalez of Waukesha passed away peacefully with her beloved husband by her side on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 91. She was born in Milwaukee on May 9, 1934, the daughter of Arnold and Lorraine (Christy) Lessila. Darlene will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and as a sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She will be sadly and forever missed by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Gonzalez and their three children, Lisa Schuster, John Gonzalez and Patty (Charlie) Boehm; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Schuster, Katelyn Schuster, Steven Schuster, William Boehm, Mitchell (Jesse) Boehm, Nina (Miguel) Arreguin and Mimi Boehm; and great-grandchildren, Victor Medrano, Leo Medrano and Milan Arreguin. She is further survived by her brothers John and Tim, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandson Beau Arreguin and siblings, Dorothy, Tom, Bob, and Jim.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral Mass begins at 12:00 noon at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. A reception will follow. Interment will be at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
