Constancia “Connie” R. Alvarez, passed into Eternal Life on January 4, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on January 16, 1925, in San Marcos, Texas, she was the daughter of Sotico and Valentina (Gamez) Rodriguez.
On November 29, 1941, Connie married Demencio Alvarez in San Antonio, Texas, who preceded her in death on June 20, 2002. For most of her life, she dedicated herself to being a devoted homemaker while also contributing working at Heale Manufacturing. As a devout Catholic, Connie was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, participating in the Hispanic Prayer Group and was a founding member of the Guadalupe Society, where she held positions as president and secretary.
Connie led a full life filled with cherished moments, including many trips to the casino, spending winters with her sisters in Arizona, enjoying music and dancing, and delighting in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her loving children, Virginia (David) Bolda of Pewaukee, Velia “Val” Ramos-Alvarez of Waukesha, Valentina (the late David) McConnell of Florida, and Vincent (Terry) Alvarez of Texas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Virginia Ramos, Velia Tarnoff, Michael Alvarez, Yvonne Ramos, Leonard Mata, Antonio Ramos, Martin Mata, and Dustin (Rachel) Zamzow—and her great-grandchildren, including Eryn, Dallis (Hayley), Vegas, Kayleigh, Julian, Mara, Cadence, and Emorie, as well as her great-great-grandchildren Henry and Ivy.
Connie is also survived by her siblings: Alicia (the late Jesus) Romero, Marcelina (the late Samuel) Beltran, Emma Rodriguez, John (Terri) Rodriguez, Josephine Rodriguez, and James (Leticia) Rodriguez, along with numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends Josephine Chacon, Efren Lemus and Paul Llanas, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Demencio Jr., and her siblings, Blasa (Joe) Campos, Hilaria (Victor) Garcia, Celedonia (Eddie) Rojas, Sotico Paul Rodriguez, and Santiago “Jim” Rodriguez.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Care-Age of Brookfield for the care and kindness they showed to Connie and her family.
A visitation will take place on Connie’s 101st birthday, Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass begins at 12:00 noon at Corpus Christi Parish-St. William Church, located at 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188. Following the Mass, burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to Corpus Christi Parish.
