Charlene Curtis

March 11, 1945 — January 23, 2010

Charlene Curtis of Mukwonago, died on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in South Carolina from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born on March 11, 1945 in Hillsboro, WI, the daughter of Arwin and Ruby (Sneath) Caucutt.  Charlene was united in marriage to Jerry Curtis on August 6, 1966 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Genesee Depot.  After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Education from U.W. Whitewater, she later was a teacher at Rose Glen Elementary School in Waukesha for 23 years until retiring.  Charlene had a passion for genealogy and was considered the family historian for both her and Jerry’s family. The most important thing to her was always her family.  With a love of traveling, Jerry and Charlene renewed their wedding vows in 2004 on a beach in Hawaii.  Charlene will be deeply missed by her husband, Jerry of Mukwonago; her 2 children:  Tim (Eve) Curtis and Jackie (Dave Vegafria) Curtis, both of Waukesha; 2 grandchildren:  Jordan Freitag and Stevie Redd; her mother, Ruby Caucutt of Genesee Depot; and brother, Gordon Caucutt of Waukesha.  She is also survived by aunts and uncles, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her father.  Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S.
