Carter J. Lukas

October 16, 2000 — October 18, 2020

Carter J. Lukas, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the age of 20. He was born on October 16, 2000, in Waukesha, the son of James Lukas and Jessica (nee Cramer) Lukas. Carter touched thousands of lives in his short time with us. He was so outgoing and funny. Always surrounded by friends and making new ones everywhere he went. He was an athlete who earned dozens of awards in volleyball, baseball and bowling. He was 2nd team All State for Waukesha South Blackshirt Baseball and bowled a perfect 300 game during Junior bowling league which were two accomplishments he was most proud of.

Carter was a talented musician. He loved mixing and producing music, writing songs and singing with many different, talented friends. His music is under the name Shady Lane and can be found on multiple music streaming platforms.
Carter went briefly to UW-Whitewater to pursue a business degree but while he made amazing friends, he found that more school just wasn’t for him right now. He was working full-time at Eaton Corporation and had just interviewed for a promotion. He was just starting to find his place in life.

Carter was an amazing brother to his sister Vivian, and he was the son that every parent dreams of. He was smart, funny and affectionate, never leaving home without an “I Love You” and hugs. Carter may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

He will be sadly missed by his parents James Lukas of Waukesha and Jessica (Scot) Lukas-Haas of Waukesha, along with his sister Vivian Lukas of Waukesha. He is further survived by his grandmother Jane Wire of Palmyra; great-grandmother Jacqueline Torpy; aunt Jill (Dave) Treleven of Waukesha; cousins JessiJane Lukas and Brianne Treleven; great aunt Kathleen (Dr. Gerald) Fisher; great uncle Dennis (Joan) Torpy, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Susan Cramer and grandparents Jack and Monica Lukas.

A celebration of Carter's life will be held at Sunset Bowl, 333 West Sunset Ave, Waukesha, WI 53189 from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, November 1st. This will be a casual memorial so come as you are. Light refreshments will be served.

Donations are appreciated to the Carter Lukas Memorial Fund, set up at Waukesha State Bank for the benefit of the Waukesha South Bowling Club and Waukesha South Blackshirts Baseball Team.
