Burton L. Edwards of Waukesha passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the age of 95. He was born in Fremont, Michigan on August 5, 1930 the son of Stephen and Mary (nee Hunt) Edwards. Burton proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and enjoyed his time with the Air National Guard at Mitchell Field. He had a long and successful career as an agricultural engineer working at Allis Chalmers in West Allis for 25+ years and later at Hatz Diesel until retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. He could often be found working in his yard, walking down their road or tinkering in the basement. Most of all he was a dedicated husband to his wife, Marcia and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Marcia of 70 years; his daughters, Shannon Edwards and Carla (Tom) Landowski; grandchildren, Truman (Lauren) Landowski and Nina Landowski and his great-grandchildren, Tinsley and Isla. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Stephen “Harold” (Viola) Edwards, Robert (Vivian) Edwards, Wilma (Jim) Esch, and Shirley (Jerry) Cook.
Private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
