Burton "Burt" Woyahn

Burton “Burt” Woyahn found peace and was called home on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the age of 82 years.  Lovingly survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean (nee Sherer).  Loving father of Lynn (Joe) Bartos, Tom (Pam Voight) Woyhan, and Jim (Dawn) Woyahn.  Cherished grandpa of Michael and Jonathon Bartos, Jacob, Matthew, Ashley, Amanda and Alyssa Woyahn.  Beloved great-grandpa of Devin Bartos.  Also survived by loving sister-in-law Jody Walstad and his nieces and nephews and their families.  Burt was preceded in death by his parents Pastor Henry and Lillian Woyahn, sister Mona (William) Schloesser and brother Harley Woyahn.  Burt will be deeply missed by his family and many good friends but will be fondly remembered for his kindness, humor, and his abiding love for his family, his country, his church and Lord, and his tennis.  Rev. Braun will officiate at a private burial with military honors presented by VFW Post 721 at Prairie Home Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, APRIL 4, 2009 with Rev. Arthur Koepsell officiating, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave., Waukesha.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church (address above) or to the Waukesha Tennis Association, P.O.
