Barbara Ann Looze

Barbara Ann Looze of Waukesha, Wisconsin, formerly of Green Bay, Wisconsin, as well as Cripple Creek, Colorado, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at home at the age of 92. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 1, 1930, the daughter of Gustav and Lillian (O’Connell) Schenk. On June 21, 1951, she married her beloved husband, Cletus “Igor” Looze, who preceded her in death in 1994. Barb was a 1971 graduate of UW-Green Bay and worked as a teacher in the Green Bay Public School District from 1974 until 1993. She travelled the world extensively and visited six of the seven continents.  Barb was an avid reader, an excellent bowler, a Life Master in bridge, and a longtime Lioness.  Barb loved to dance her entire life.

Barb always held family dear to her heart. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her children, Doug (Sue) Looze, Kitty (Bill) Myers, Rick (Robyn) Looze, Mickey (the late Bob) Fank and Mary (Michael) Kennedy; her grandchildren, Bryan (Jessica) Looze, Chris (Amy) Looze, Scott (Ashley) Looze, Steve (Shauna) Looze, Jim (Lynnea) Myers, Greg (Meghan) Myers, Simone Hollberg, Monet (Tyler) Sheflin, Patti (Curt) Fank, Mike (Mandy) Fank, William (Briana) Fank, Katherine Kennedy, Benjamin Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy and Gabe Kennedy; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Caitlyn, Gavin, Braeden, Chase, Owen, Cole, Kahlan, Xia, Shiloh, Tekoa, Charlotte, Brantley, Brooklyn, Beckham, Hayden, Nora, Jackson, Max, Sophie, Marlee, and Eloise. She is further survived by her niece, Ann (Jim Ferguson) Augustine, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her husband, Igor, she was preceded in death by her son, Joey Looze, her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Augustine, and partner, James Sandmore.

A private family funeral Mass will be held at St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha.  Interment will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay.
