Ann Louise Daniels, age 86, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, following a brief illness. Born in Sterling, Illinois, on November 6, 1939, to Wilfred and Genevieve (nee Clark) Hendricks, Ann lived a vibrant life anchored by faith, service, and community.
A graduate of Illinois State University, Ann was a devoted educator and lifelong learner. She dedicated over 35 years to inspiring young minds, spending two decades teaching 2nd grade in Waukesha, followed by 15 years as a volunteer educator at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Her curiosity and passion for learning guided everything she did. Known for her sharp sense of style, love of travel, flourishing gardens, avid reader and effortless hospitality, Ann brought warmth, beauty, and grace to every room she entered.
On October 20, 1962, Ann married the love of her life, Thomas Daniels, in Sterling. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared nearly six decades of faith and fellowship as active members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
Ann was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Thomas; her sons, Peter (Sue) Daniels and Mark (Pam) Daniels; her beloved grandchildren, Nick (Mikaela) Daniels and great-grandson, Thomas Daniels, Paul (Haley) Daniels, Caroline (Jack Collette) Daniels; Dominic (Fran Meyer) Daniels, and Elena Daniels; and her sisters-in-law, Sally and Carol. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mike Hendricks, and her brother-in-law, Rodney Daniels.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (1205 S. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186) from 9:30 AM until the Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at a later date at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann’s name are appreciated to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church to support their ongoing school that Ann loved so much.
