Allen A. Armour

Allen A. Armour, of Mukwonago, formerly of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born on August 29, 1934, in Rochester MN, the son of Myron L. and Orma M. (nee Heineck) Armour. He attended public school in Dodge Center, MN, graduating in 1952. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and served 4 years as a grounds crew chief on B-47 jet aircraft. On May 5, 1956 he married Georgia (nee Holland) Armour, who preceded him in death on May 20, 2012.

He attended UW-Eau Claire from 1956-1957 and then transferred to UW-Stout where he graduated in 1960 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts Education. He began teaching in the Waukesha Public School system in 1960 where he remained until his retirement in 1990. He also worked as a part-time carpenter at Carroll College/University from 1965-1990, then full time until 1999 before returning to part-time from 2000-2023.

He is survived by his children Keith (Lori) Armour of Spicewood, TX, Dale (Dana) Armour of Village of Vernon and Cheryl (David) DeShambo of Lake Geneva, WI. He is further survived by his grandchildren Samantha Armour, Aaron Armour and Daniel DeShambo, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers William, Myron, Rodney and Rollo Armour, and sisters Evalyn Langworthy and Jean Adele LaPorte.
