William A Lapaz

William “Bill” A. LaPaz of Waukesha died on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 51. He was born in Waukesha on October 15, 1968 the son of Robert and Kathleen (nee Martin) LaPaz. He was a 1986 graduate of Waukesha North High School, attended UW-Whitewater, UW-Waukesha and WCTC and earned an associate degree in English. Bill worked for 26 years at Merrill Hills Country Club. He began as a shoeshine boy and worked his way up the ladder to become the general manager.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 10 years, Teri (nee Swenson) whom he married on October 24, 2009, his mother Kathleen Martin of Door County, his step-children, Eric (Shanna) Swenson and Andrew (fiancée Ashley Brunson) Love, his brother Robert (Elizabeth) LaPaz of Beacon, NY and sister Rebecca (Douglas) McDowell of Sturgeon Bay, WI. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, Olivia LaPaz, Megan Horace, Sean McDowell, Payton McDowell and Megan McDowell, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
